AKA The Vine Youth Group!

Who are we? We’re youth between 10 and 18. Firstly there’s ‘THE BOSS’, Anne Hammond. She is the ‘elder’ responsible for co-ordinating all youth work within the church. Then there is the rest of us, Tony and Di Dawson and Angela Bradley.

 

What are we doing?

Friday nights;

We run two youth groups now. Di is leading the 10 to14,s and I (Tony) lead the 15 to 18,s. The ages for these groups are flexible so don’t worry if you’re not the perfect fit, few of us are.

Times for Fridays are 6.30 to 8.00; 10 to 14,s and 7.30 to 9.30; 15 to 18,s. The time that overlaps is our social time with pizza and drinks.

Friday nights is open to all youth and hopefully has a club like feel. However we still want to be Christ centered in what we do.

Friday Club belongs to the youth. As such it is hoped that over the coming months you guys will be increasingly putting into it yourselves.

 

 

 

 

 

Tuesday nights;

Going deeper with bible study and frank (you better believe it!) discussion. This is run by Anne at Tony and Di’s house. We ask for a desire to study and maturity in approach.

 

Going out and about;

We try, when possible, to take youth to off site activities i.e. ‘The Gathering’. However this is only when time permits. A big thanx to Colin who must know the road to Falmouth very well. If you are offering to take youth to a function please let Anne or one of the team know.

 

 

Child Protection;

Our church is bound by the ‘Child Protection Act’. If you have any queries or concerns contact our church child protection officer;

The future;

Like the rest of the church we will soon need alternative premises for Friday night club. Last week we had 22 turn up between groups so it needs some prayer and thought.

It's all a bit scary but very exciting. Where He leads us, we will follow!
